Influencing effectively and with sensitivity
What does inflencing mean to you? Is it about convincing the other that you are right? Or rather about listening as well, that your view and opinions are really being heard, resulting in openness for the other to consciously choose?
Does influencing mean sticking firmly to your conviction? Or are you also able, from your viewpoint, to be open to others and be influenced by them? What movement is possible there? To what extent is influencing about leading or maybe even seducing? Does it have to do with gaining acceptance? What about the intention behind your words?
All these aspects play a role in your ability to influence.
What we will do
You want to influence others, but not be insensitive to your context. You also want to communicate in a clear and transparent manner, as well as receive and give feedback. How can you remain stable when you meet resistance?
In this experiential program, you will gain insight into your way of convincing and your reactions when meeting resistance through simple physical exercises. Starting with your physical self, you will learn how to deal with the powers at play by practicing the ‘Aikido-way . Listening, people-centred convincing, tact, sensitive behaviour, self-direction and flexibility are important elements for convincing effectively.
Results
At the end of this workshop you will be able to break through your own barriers when it comes to convincing. You will have strengthened your own powers of persuasion and know how to keep the flow in a conversation even when faced with resistance. You will understand that holding on to a win-win intention will lead to the best result and you will be nimble as the conversation takes unexpected turns.
